For the last few decades, FAT got a bad wrap.
Fat FREE was stamped all over food products implying that if we eliminated fat from our diets, that we’d be healthier.
Since then, the incidence of heart disease, cancer, obesity, hypertension and obesity have all skyrocketed.
Maybe, ‘They’ were wrong.
Fat is essential. Without it, our bodies cannot function at their peak levels.
But, here’s where I have to clarify some boundaries.
Natural sources of fat are good for us.
Avocados, nuts, seeds, coconuts, olives and similar natural treats are packed full of healthy fat and benefit us in so many ways.
Where people have been misled, is in marketing of packaged food products. Most packages and marketed foods are packed full of unnatural, processed fats that are toxic and harmful to our bodies. These oils and altered fats cause a ton of damage and should be avoided at all costs.
What about butter?
