November 25, 2008 by ptpt Leave a Comment

Can you feel the economic regression?

You deserve fat loss, a six pack, and/or performance improvements, and a break in your budget.

Innovative Results was voted best personal trainers in Orange County because we offer:
Free nutrition guidelines, coaching, and accountability with our personal training
The most comprehensive and practical workouts for fat loss, six packs, and performance improvement
Good-looking trainers who walk the talk in the fitness industry
Support and service with patience and a positive attitude

We will remain the number one trainers by adhering to the above while making smart business decisions.

So we have decided to initiate a holiday price which cuts the clients or potential clients a break in this economic trend while stimulating the growth of our company (and economy). If a client or potential client who desires fat loss, a six pack, or performance improvement brings a friend who desires the same thing(s), he or she is entitled to the price cut per session. This price can be further taken advantage of by signing for any desired amount of months, up to 24 months and no less than 1 month.

Enjoy the price break, and like always we will donate 1% to charity.

Our goal is to have 250 clients by New Year’s Eve. We will then be able to donate a minimum of $2,500.00 to a charity for the Month of November and December.

Get rid of your bodyfat before the Holiday’s ambush you.

WE are thinking this would be a nice Holiday gift for those in need.

Message From The Crossing’s Time Celek Hits Home For Innovative Results

November 25, 2008 by ptpt Leave a Comment

He said the difference between a dangerous church that really puts the love of Christ out there and a church that just follows the norm to barely get by is this: pain, risk, and loss.

Amazing message Tim! He captured my heart spiritually and motivated me in my business.

It is the same with a person who needs to lose weight, get healthy, and look good. There are a few ways you will know you are well on your way to the body, mind, and spirit you desire. The first is PAIN.

It will take some work, as well as it will take someone with the will to overcome obstacles, challenges, and uncertainty. In other words when the pain comes, you can either endure it, fix it, or run away, but let it be known if you run away it will only be more painful the next time. Worse yet, it will hurt a lot worse when you die physically, mentally, or spiritually from not changing. After pain is dealt with, it must also be known that risk is a huge part of the change.

Risk is when you go out on a limb to try something you have never done before to get something you’ve always wanted, you’ve never had, or you are trying to earn back. For some this means a coach, trainer, program, etc, and for all it means changing a lifestyle. Now the only thing left is loss.

Not only the loss of weight, but the possibility of losing a lifestyle, some friends who really weren’t friends, or worse yet your precious desserts (insert most desired lifestyle that currently keeps you down). These seem like good things and good loss, but I have witnessed many people revert back to their old ways, allowing the weight, low self-esteem, and lack of positivity creep back into their life. This is perhaps the worse of the three ways you know you are on the right track.

Get ready for some PAIN, RISK, and LOSS, and take the next step to get what you have always desired.

Thank you Tim and The Crossing for placing fruit in my life

Tim Celek working through his pain, risk, and loss.

Questions About the Last Little Bit of Fat

November 25, 2008 by ptpt 1 Comment

I just read your blog about success….
loooooved it!

I am a BIG believer that if you can dream, vision it….anything is possible! Great Job on achieving your vision!!

Anywhooo….Aaron…I need some advice, man….

I attend a gym right now and CAN NOT seem to get rid of the last 15 lbs I have been dying to get rid of.

I think I have plateaued. AND, have gotten discouraged about

After we got back from a two week vacation/no sleep(We stopped in Idaho!  I hadnt been back in 10 years!!)

I was exhausted from the trip and needed to get our daughter and me used to her new Kindergarten schedule….Now,it has been at least two weeks since I have been in the gym AND lets not forget the 2 weeks of vacation….for a grand total of 4 WEEKS that I have not been to the gym…..which is crazy for me. I love the way it makes me feel. Now that everyone is good with the new schedule I will drop off Van at school and head to the gym….

What can I do to get over that plateau?
I LOVE high impact and enjoy pushing myself…But what am I doing wrong that I cant lose that extra weight??

Any advice, Aaron!?

xoxo

Anonymous

I will give you my top three pieces of advice…

1. forget about the 15 lbs.
Do you look good? Do you feel good? Are you healthy? These are important. Some symbols on a scale should never control you thoughts.
2. Discipline
Four weeks is a long time…not to worry though, you will adapt and overcome, because of your attitude. Stay positive about it, and don’t ever say I can’t lose the 15lbs again (you actually had CAN NOT in caps above). Think, “I have just been given the opportunity to lose some bodyfat,” making you an even more efficient and even hotter human being! 🙂
3. Recovery with fuel

Is your eating going with or against your work in the gym. Are you eating 4-6 meals per day that do not exceed the amount of calories you burn every day? Are you eating the foods that will give you maximum efficiency or are they foods that only give immediate “feel good” reactions? Is your sleep and water intake in amounts that create a healthy environment for your fitness to make the impact you are desiring? If not, analyze, improve, and control.

I really hope this helps. If you need more help, I could help you find a professional in your area. 🙂 Look forward to Innovative Results online training and nutrition site. You can also check out sparkpeople.com while you wait for our site to be developed.

Personal Trainer in Tustin Talks About Treatment of Childhood Obesity

Obesity treatment programs for children and adolescents rarely have weight loss as a goal. Rather, the aim is to slow or halt weight gain so the child will grow into his or her body weight over a period of months to years.

Early and appropriate intervention is particularly valuable. There is considerable evidence that childhood eating and exercise habits are more easily modified than adult habits. Three forms of intervention include:

  1. Physical Activity – Adopting a formal exercise program, or simply becoming more active, is valuable to burn fat, increase energy expenditure, and maintain lost weight.
  2. Diet Management – Fasting or extreme caloric restriction is not advisable for children. Not only is this approach psychologically stressful, but it may adversely affect growth and the child’s perception of “normal” eating. Balanced diets with moderate caloric restriction, especially reduced dietary fat, have been used successfully in treating obesity. Nutrition education may be necessary.
  3. Behavior Modification – Many behavioral strategies used with adults have been successfully applied to children and adolescents: self-monitoring and recording food intake and physical activity, slowing the rate of eating, limiting the time and place of eating, and using rewards and incentives for desirable behaviors.

Obesity is easier to prevent than to treat, and prevention focuses in large measure on parent education. In infancy, parent education should center on promotion of breastfeeding, recognition of signals of satiety, and delayed introduction of solid foods. In early childhood, education should include proper nutrition, selection of low-fat snacks, good exercise/activity habits, and monitoring of television viewing. In cases where preventive measures cannot totally overcome the influence of hereditary factors, parent education should focus on building self-esteem and address psychological issues.

Orange County Gym has Pregnancy and Fitness Options for You

November 20, 2008 by ptpt Leave a Comment

All too often, expecting women feel that they have to stop their normal routine of working out just because they have become pregnant. This is entirely not the case. In fact, stopping what you have come so long to accomplish will actually put more stress on your body. Certain routines may need to be adjusted to accommodate the growing belly, but you should not stop or put aside your health & fitness goals just because you’re expecting. If you did not have a workout plan prior to becoming pregnant, now is the time to put one into place. It’s never too late for getting fit and being healthy.

Being fit can help you stay healthy during your pregnancy; it can reduce the likelihood of complications during labor and actually make labor shorter. One of the biggest benefits is that it makes losing weight after you have the baby easier.

We understand that every body is different and so is every pregnancy. That is why we will work closely with you to come up with a plan that is perfect and especially made for you and baby in mind.

Best Massage Therapist in Orange County, California!

November 20, 2008 by ptpt Leave a Comment

Jenny Gordon from Kneading Massage based out of Irvine, California, is by far the best massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of going to (and I’ve been to many!). Jenny is able to identify exactly where your trouble spots are and focuses in on them; unlike other massage therapist, where they rub ya down for an hour and expect you to be happy – My 3 year old son can do that for free! Jenny’s strong hands are perfect for those trouble spots, and although it may hurt on occasion, you know she’s getting all of the “kinks” out. I walk out of my sessions feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and anxious to come back again! Even during my pregnancy, I’m still able to enjoy a nice prenatal massage from Jenny Gordon. These massages help ease backpain, muscle cramps, and swelling to name a few discomforts during pregnancy.

Kneading Massage Therapists specialize in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Foot, Hands and Wrists Massage, and Prenatal Massage. Check out their website for more details – http://kneadingmassage.biz/ And remember to ask for Jenny!

“The Dreaded Fast Food Menu; Aka Caloric Killer’s” by Orange County Fitness Trainers

November 20, 2008 by ptpt 1 Comment

If you’re like two thirds of working Americans, you pick up lunch from a fast food joint or restaurant at least once a week. Sure, it’s not as healthy as packing your own lunch, but eating out every once in a while can’t hurt, right?

Not so fast: You’re Dead Wrong!

Not only could the window worker pile an entire day’s worth of calories through your car window with one serving, but soon after you will be sucking your energy and productivity right back out that window: Carb overloads lead to energy spikes and crashes, and studies have shown that the bigger your waistline, the lower your cognitive functioning and the more sick days you take.

Kind of ironic, considering “convenience” is the most common reason people give for buying lunch during the workday. In this economy, it’s hardly convenient to snore through the 2 o’clock meeting, or miss a few crucial days when the boss is looking for you.

A healthy lunch can help you maximize your afternoon performance, but if you’re in a hurry to grab and go, you might not take the time to sort through the menu hits and misses. Let the Eat This, Not That! folks be your efficiency experts: DON’T order the following items. Opt instead for less outrageous alternatives (also below), and reap the benefits at bonus time.

QUIZNO’S
Large Prime Rib Cheesesteak Sub
1,770 calories
116 g fat (25 g saturated, 2.5 g trans)
2,895 mg sodium

Fat Equivalent: Like eating 5 Dunkin Donuts cheese danishes!

It’s hard enough to make the argument for one cheese Danish, but five? And we’re just talking fat, here — with more than 1,000 calories of the stuff in just one sandwich. You’re also be filling up with more than a day’s worth of sodium and saturated fat. While this is one of the worst items you could choose, the rest of the Quizno’s menu has hazards, as well.

But if your coworkers insist on eating there, order this:

Regular Turkey Ranch and Swiss Sub with reduced fat Ranch
590 calories
18 g fat (2.5 g saturated)
2,235 mg sodium

CHILI’S
Crispy Honey Chipotle Crispers

1,890 calories
99 g fat (19 g saturated)
3,470 mg sodium

Calorie Equivalent: Like eating an entire medium Pizza Hut 12″ pepperoni pizza!

If you have the time for a sit-down meal, you have the time to think this through. Chicken Crispers are fun, but account for almost a whole day’s worth of calories and almost two days’ worth of sodium.

Your smarter choice is to eat this instead:

Classic Chicken Fajitas
330 calories
11 g fat (2 saturated)
2,080 mg sodium

And another hint for a healthy sit-down lunch: forgo the appetizers. Chili’s Texas Cheese Fries with Jalapeno Ranch Dressing made the top of our list when we rounded up the worst appetizers money can buy.

ARBY’S
Roast Turkey Ranch and Bacon Sandwich

818 calories
38 g fat (11 g saturated, 0.5 g trans)
2,146 mg sodium

Calorie Equivalent: Like eating 23 Thin Mints (one whole sleeve)!

Just because you could prepare it at home doesn’t mean it’s good for you when you order it away from home — the Roast Turkey Ranch and Bacon Sandwich packs nearly half of your daily allowance of calories and almost an entire day’s dose of sodium. Doesn’t leave much room for anything else, does it?

Eat this instead:

Sourdough Roast Beef Melt
355 calories
14 g fat (5 g saturated, 1 trans)
1,047 mg of sodiumDAIRY QUEEN
Wild Buffalo Chicken Strip Basket (4 piece)

1,340 calories
96 g fat (18 g saturated)
4,820 mg sodium

Sodium Equivalent: Like eating 14 large orders of McDonald’s French fries!

Talk about a value meal: one Chicken Strip Basket gives you two days’ payload of sodium! If thinking about it doesn’t elevate your blood pressure, eating it might.

Eat this instead:

Crispy Chicken Sandwich

530 calories
29 g fat (4.5 g saturated, 3 g trans)
1,020 mg sodium
PANERA
Italian Combo on Ciabatta sandwich

1,070 calories
50 g fat (19 g saturated, 0.5 g trans)
3,010 mg of sodium

Fat Equivalent: Like eating 6 slices of Papa John’s cheese pizza!

You were on the right track in choosing Panera, but don’t be sidelined by the allure of the Italian Combo. Ciabatta bread may sound sophisticated, but you won’t look so refined when you’re lugging that spare Pirelli around your midsection.

Eat this instead:

Smoked Turkey Breast on Sourdough sandwich
470 calories
17 g fat (2.5 g saturated)
1,680 mg sodium

CHIPOTLE
13” Tortilla with steak, black beans, rice, cheese, sour cream and lettuce

1,005 calories
40 g fat (17 g saturated)
1,948 mg sodium

Calorie Equivalent: Like eating 40 Hershey’s Kisses!

The good news about this tortilla is that it contains 57 grams of protein, but that’s hardly worth the outrageous calorie and carbohydrate load — with 100 grams of carbs, you’ve already covered a third of your recommended daily intake, plus you’re taking in nearly a day’s worth of sodium and saturated fat. Downsize to drop pounds.

Eat this instead:

Three hard tacos with steak, pinto beans, sour cream and lettuce
633 calories
25 g fat (11 g saturated)
854 mg sodium

(Another hint: When it comes to Chipotle chips, just say “no.” They add an outrageous 570 calories and 73 extra grams of carbs.)

HARDEE’S
2/3-lb Monster Thickburger

1,420 calories
108 g fat (43 g saturated)
2,770 mg sodium

Saturated Fat Equivalent: Like eating 43 strips of Oscar Mayer bacon!

It’s called Monster for a reason. It’s a monster load of saturated fat (more than two days’ worth). The good news is that it has a friendlier, healthier cousin in the 1/3-lb Low-Carb Thickburger, with 1,000 fewer calories and a third the amount of fat. Even better, the Low-Carb Thickburger is true to its name — it only has 5 grams of quick-burning carbohydrates, compared to 46 grams in the Monster.

Eat this instead:

1/3-lb Low-Carb Thickburger
420 calories
32 g fat (12 g saturated)
1,010 mg sodiumBURGER KING
Triple Whopper Sandwich with cheese and mayo

1,230 calories
82 g fat (32 g saturated)
1,590 mg sodium

Fat Equivalent:
Like eating 10 slices of Papa John’s cheese pizza!

You should know by now not to order a triple anything. In this case you’re getting egregious calorie, fat, and sodium overloads. Choose a regular cheeseburger instead and slash 900 calories, 66 g of fat, and save yourself from the judgmental stares of your coworkers, who are three times as likely to be grossed out!

Eat this instead:

Cheeseburger
330 calories
16 g fat (7 g saturated, 0.5 g trans)
780 mg sodium

3 Simple Tips to A Healthy Lifestyle!

November 11, 2008 by ptpt 1 Comment

How many people do you know who are on prescribed medication?  High cholesterol, blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, thyroid problems, obesity…  With all of the new medical & pharmaceutical advancements, people are more aware of health & fitness than ever before, yet our own government statistics indicate record levels of health-related ailments.

Every quick fix book, cd, infomercial, TV show, wonder pill, cosmetic surgeons surgery, diet and DVD all claim to have the miracle answer.  DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE!  Stick to the fundamentals and you’ll see results that last.  An overall healthy lifestyle will have benefits that impact more than just your pant size.

Here are 3 simple tips to a healthy lifestyle…

Eat.

There are tons of special diets, but you don’t need a diet – you need to learn how to eat.  Keep It Simple.  The best way to eat correctly is to eat what nature provides: meats, fruits, vegetables, whole grains and water.  The more cooked or processed food gets, the worse the food is for you, period.  Too many diets include fast food, soda, chips, candies, or some type of ‘convenient’ food.  This is why the average American has gained over 20 lbs., in the past 15 years, and the incidence of heart disease and cancer are at an all time high!  Pack a little cooler with healthy alternatives such as fruit, protein shakes, organic bars, nuts or water, so that when you are hungry, you have something available.  Also, take an evening and plan your meals for the week.

Move!

Get off the couch, out of your chair, out of the car and move.  This is what most people call exercise, but you don’t have to put on tights and get on the Stairmaster. Go outside, play a sport, go skiing, take a hike, go for a swim, join a gym… It doesn’t matter, just move.  No more ‘New years’ resolutions that last for a week.  Make exercise a habit.  Movement builds strength, cardiovascular health, increases flexibility, strengthens ligaments, increases energy and clears your mind.

Chill

People recharge in different ways.  So you need to figure out what you truly enjoy.  What do you like to do that allows your mind to relax?  Try sports, the spa, time with family, a good book, a long walk, a bath, painting or any other activity that rejuvenates you.  Too many people spend most of their time racing around, and they never really make time to recuperate.  Everyone needs time to chill, including YOU.  So think about it, schedule it, and make it a priority.

Final Notes:

Start with your calendar. Don’t just react each day to things that pop up.  Exercise and health need to become a priority.  Plan to workout 3 times per week.  Everyone has 3 hours a week to do something physical.  Next, plan some time to chill.  Remember, this is for you to relax mentally!  Find an activity that recharges you and offsets the week’s stress!  Finally, plan your meals in advance.  Learn how to shop and prepare for your week. Ask for help.  Make time. Commit to basic changes.  You will look better, feel better and become a healthier person!

Press Release for the #1 Personal Trainers in Orange County

November 9, 2008 by ptpt Leave a Comment

Innovative Results, Inc. Voted Best Personal Trainers in Orange County

Innovative Results, Inc. takes the number one spot on myfoxla 2008 Best of the OC HOT LIST as the Best Personal Trainers in Orange County.

Issued By: Innovative Results, Inc.

Jun 25, 2008 17:24:52

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 25, 2008 – Innovative Results, Inc. takes the number one spot on myfoxla 2008 Best of the OC HOT LIST as the Best Personal Trainers in Orange County.

The myfoxla HOT LIST (www.myfoxla.com), a product of Fox LA News, is Southern California’s premier image-based guide to thousands of local businesses. The HOT LIST delivers the local perspective: hidden gems, neighborhood favorites, and honest advice from those who know their city best.

Aaron Guyett, President and CEO of Innovative Results, Inc., said of the victory:”We are extremely pleased and honored to be named best personal trainers, but not surprised.  The success of any personal trainer can only be measured by his or her clients.  It’s a goal-oriented business and as a former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant I understand the hard work that goes into reaching your goals. I am here to support my clients and offer not just a gym program but a life plan that will lead to fulfillment.  The company’s motto is ‘love, happiness and abundance.’ As trainers, we focus on giving support and motivation to every client so they can achieve their goals.”

Guyett notes the following factors why Innovative Results, Inc. is also the fastest growing personal training business in the county:

1. We offer innovative personal training and nutritional coaching that’s fine-tuned for every customer, allowing for maximum results in minimum time.  Each client’s program is designed with their individual goals in mind.  Everybody is different and nobody’s time or efforts are ever wasted;

2. We don’t train like the traditional bodybuilders, we train movements and therefore create efficient humans with sexy bodies; and

3. We also give our clients innovative nutritional guidelines.  It’s not a strict adherence to specific foods; instead we work with each individual’s food journal to create modification for success.

He adds: “While it’s great to have this recognition because it means that our clients are happy, I won’t rest here.  My goal is to grow the company and continue to increase revenue while creating a great work environment for both my trainers and my clients.  My business model is very different from the traditional gym-membership model that cuts the customer loose after the initial sale.  They count on the failure of their customers, so the gym won’t get overcrowded, and they can sell more memberships. I want everyone to succeed because their success is a direct reflection on me.”

Innovative Results, Inc. has plans to open three private training facilities in Orange County and eventually expand nationally.
