Now we will talk about what improved quality of life means for your short-term successes. Improved quality of life is pretty self-explanatory (read the link above to see how in-depth we go to help people achieve improved quality of life immediately), and we will define “short-term” as three months to one year. After a client experiences the immediate mindset, movement, and recovery results http://www.innovative-results.com/blog/2014/what-improved-quality-of-life-means-to-innovative-results/, they start to reap physiological (body) and psychological (mind) benefits that they can enjoy for the rest of their life.
Psychological Short-term Successes
- Mental Security and Stability (Mental Toughness)
Wouldn’t it be nice to have the ability to do the things you don’t want to do in the short term, in order the have the things that you really want longer term. If feeling better, looking better, moving better, and performing better were easy, everyone would be super heroes, or at least great looking, high-level performers, that achieved great success in all aspects of their life. But being able to handle a little discomfort daily is not what most people want to hear, when they say they need to look better, be healthier, lose weight, gain muscle, look toned, feel better in these pants/jeans/dress/bikini/shorts, win a match/competition, or just plain move without pain takes more than our average dose of mental toughness. If you ask a client of Innovative Results that has been coming for more than a month, they will not lie to you and say it is easy, but they will most likely say it is fun, and they will always say they are better off than they were a month, two, three, or more ago. Whether they lost 20 pounds or can move better (without pain), it comes down to small successes daily that add up to real results, and this is all possible because of their HUGE improvements in mental toughness! Being able to handle a little bit more discomfort to rid themselves of the pain of looking sad, feeling bad, and moving with problems. These small daily wins add up inside the IR client’s mental scoreboard, creating mental security and stability that each client can carry with themselves for a lifetime. - Power of Diligent Action (Goal Achievements)
Along with mental security and stability, each Innovative Results client understand the power of diligent action. Because of their small successes daily, each IR client understands it is the person that is willing to dedicate time, energy, and resources to a cause that is long-term, beneficial, cost-saving, and health-improving for more than just two weeks. Each client begins to reap the incredible benefits of their short-term psychological success at the end of the first month, and most of them stay the course well after their initial goal is achieved, because it feels good, and they realize they can achieve so much more with the power of diligent action.
Physiological Short-term Successes
- Improved Mobility
Each training session starts out with mobility, and ends with either static stretching or self-myofascial release (SMR), and this daily routine helps create better functional range of motion. Even during the training session, each coach is helping every client reach their best functional range of motion and engaged control during each movement. This increased mobility is the foundation of every progression, and extremely important for increased performance, stamina, strength, and power. Without proper ankle mobility, a person will have a hard time walking, running, and jumping. Without proper wrist mobility, a person will have a hard time pushing. Without proper shoulder mobility a person will have a hard time pulling. These are the most basic human movements. Everyone should enjoy performing basic human function, and we believe everyone can with proper mobility. This is just one of the many stories the IR Team hears everyday, about another IR client able to achieve far more than she or he ever though possible. - Improved Stability
The possibilities begin with mobility, but are continued through the short-term success of improved stability. As each client is taken from where they are to where they would like to be, the IR Team develops each person’s stability along with their mobility. Sometimes the person coming to Innovative Results is a sedentary person that hasn’t moved in years, while other times it is an active person that wants to continue to do the things they love (i.e. surfing, hiking, running, swimming, biking, and the list goes on). Either way, the team surrounds each client with knowledgeable, helpful, and guided progressions to develop the person’s stability, so they can begin to improve their stamina, strength, and power. After just a few months every client at Innovative Results has not only improved balance, but also can move in every plane of motion with greater ease than when they first began. This is from their improved stability. - Improved Endurance
Every person in the world can benefit from improved endurance; even elite power lifters need to be able to lift their desired weights more than one time on the platform. Improving endurance at Innovative Results is made easier through improved mobility and stability. The muscles and soft tissues are no longer fighting against the load of one’s body, and movement of the body becomes more efficient. Not to mention the fact that the daily training success the IR Team brings to each client improves his or her aerobic function activating recovery and improving endurance. This increased aerobic capacity brings a new level of mental toughness, as well as increasing the client’s ability to train, work, play, and function in everyday life. Innovative Results is constantly hearing of client’s telling stories of improved sex-life, work-life, and family-life because of their ever-increasing stamina. The improved stamina begins after week two, and continues to improve throughout the life of the client at Innovative Results. - Improved Strength
Some people desire strength to be bigger, others don’t want strength, because they want to be smaller, but IR clients realize strength doesn’t have to mean big, and it mostly means more confidence. Getting big from strength has much more to do with diet and nutrition choices than it has to do with the size of weights one lifts. At Innovative Results we see improved strength regardless of how big or small or toned someone is trying to be. Strength has much more to do with nervous adaptation, muscle recruitment, and technique than it has to do with growth. I have seen surprisingly small women and men out-lift larger women and men, because the IR Team helped improve the client’s weak points: grip, back, hips, shoulders, knees, and ankles. As the IR Team helps each client realize more and more physical strength, the client than realizes the strength is as much physical as it is mental. Once the mobility, stability, endurance, and strength are improved, each IR client begins to see their power improving. What each client once thought was his or her 100% effort in one repetition, sprint, push, pull, and/or rotation, becomes so much more. From a psychological and physiological standpoint, each client will begin to see immediate wins and incredible short-term success, too! The IR Team studies and devotes its time and energy to improving mental capacity and toughness, goal achievement, and improvements in mobility, stability, endurance, strength, and power in a relatively short time. When clients commit to the training at Innovative Results, they are committing to improvement in their everyday life. The mind and body experience effects immediately, and continually develop and enhance those effects as long as the training continues. Short term (3 months to 1 year) effects on the mind bring about a more confident client, with a mindset of diligence and perseverance.
