Art, music, food, beer, stores, fashion and sunshine. Graffiti Beach did an awesome job last weekend at The District in Tustin. Tons of energy, lots of talent and great people.

Metabolic Conditioning – Quick Fitness Challenge – Innovative Results
We call it “The General”
We have been integrating challenges into our workouts at the gym. They are a fun way to get people involved, competing and it creates the competitive atmosphere that so many people strive for. Here is a quick 2-4 minute challenge that we did a few days back. It’s not for everybody, but its fun for us!
John Madden is Training for BUDS – Navy Seals
John Madden is a long time friend and brother, so when he said he wanted to get pushed to the edge of his physical potential with Innovative Results, I was honored!
He is pursuing a contract with the Navy SEALs, and needs the mental toughness and physical prowess that can step up to the job and pull him to the end of a very arduous training regimen. I am sure you have all heard the stories of this elite fighting force, and here is the beginning of the story from John Madden’s perspective.
John has already put several large scale accolades under his belt. He is a Marine and served during Operation Enduring Freedom as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom. He’s done fire fighter academy and was a reserve fire fighter. John is a skydiver, surfer, professional swing dancer, and full time fire inspector. He has always been active, but what he is not is a runner. …Well, let’s just say Navy SEALS do a bit of running. Don’t get me wrong he scores in the top percentages of the PST (Pre-Screening Test), but he wants to be at the top, and he wants to build the never-say-quit, never-say-die attitude of all SEALs everywhere.
We are going to take his current physical success, drive it into the ground, stomp on it, get it “wet and sandy,” and then build it on heart, will, and mental toughness.
Stay tuned as his training progresses!
Jaiya Figueras Visits Innovative Results Costa Mesa, CA
Jaiya Figueras, owner of Your Next Victory in Long Beach, visited our new gym in Costa Mesa. Jaiya has been involved in athletics, trained with some of the country’s best strength coaches and currently trains in Long Beach, CA. Check out what he has to say about the new facility and the future of strength, training and conditioning.
Lessons Learned:
1. Open Space allows a good personal trainer or strength coach to be creative. If a gym is full of equipment and machines, it should set off an alarm.
2. Training to your limits and developing mental strength. Learning to develop your mental strength is just as important as developing your physical body. Most people do not push themselves hard enough.
3. People need an emotional reason to workout. There needs to be a deep rooted motivation that drives you when times get tough, or it is easy to quit. Maybe it’s survival, your kids, a big event…
4. Success breeds success. When you find a gym that pushes your limits, learning to persevere and pushing through your limits can transfer into all areas of your life. If you quit in the gym, odds are, you quit on a lot of other things too.

Lost 4.2 Pounds in 1 Month
Consistency has landed Jessica in the #1 spot after tallying votes from both the Innovative Results Team, and clients! Since April 5th, Jess has been attending 6:00AM workouts 5 days per week, and diligently keeping a daily food log. As of May 5th her efforts have paid off, losing 4.2lbs and shedding 1.5 inches from her waist line! In only one month!!
Awesome work Jessica!!
I started training with Innovative Results trainer, Aaron Guyett in 2006. Realizing 18-year-old bodies fade with age, and body maintenance was in order to keep jean sizes down, I knew some healthy changes were needed.
Six months after beginning my program, I had to stop. I attempted to maintain what I had learned from Aaron but quickly lost motivation, and workouts became infrequent and lackadaisical. Needing to be held accountable and shown motivational guidance, I returned to Innovative Results full-force in February 2009.
Like many of us, I needed someone to hold me accountable and sought out motivators to stay active in and out of the gym without becoming bored. Creativity and accountability were no longer obstacles. Everyday I am faced with a new workout set to challenge every muscle, removing any opportunity to meander aimlessly around the gym as I did before.
My energy increased and I could feel my body getting stronger, but it was time to conquer my weight loss goal. Starting April 5th, my trainer required me to send a daily food log. If I forgot to report my daily food intake, he would have a special exercise waiting for me the next time I came into the gym. This motivated me to consistently track my calories, and I even began to add in my own workouts to make up for any weekend splurges. I began to hold myself accountable, and by making the extra efforts I started to see the benefits immediately!
Support from the Innovative Results Team, and other clients have helped me develop a daily routine for both diet and workouts. I now work out 5-6 times a week, battling the early morning hours we all dread, hoping to motivate those around me and continue to build incredible client success stories.
We give praise to Jessica Cadenhead for bringing a positive attitude to our Innovative Results family!
Thank you Jessica and congratulations on your success!!

Eco Mud Run – Irvine Great Park – Innovative Results
This year’s Eco Mud Run was an incredible event! The atmosphere was fun, costumes were hilarious and it was a great mix of singles, couples, families and friends. If anyone is not into racing, or you’ve never tried a race before, I think this would be a fun event to start with. Gather up some friends, be goofy and just enjoy the day.
Big thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered and organized the event.
Our team had a blast!
