To my Innovative Results FAMILY,

THANK YOU.

Thank you for spending reps, sets, hours, moments, and memories with me throughout the last 4 years as we shared opportunities to expand our paradigms of movement, strength, purpose, goals, lifestyle, and friendship. Thank you for allowing me to guide you through an hour of your day to help you contribute to your success both in the gym and out. Thank you for listening with intention to reach towards your own greatest potential. Thank you for the laughs, the sweat, the challenges, the learning, and the pure human connection.

My transformation at Innovative Results has grown me to a space where I feel more comfortable sharing with others, speaking my voice, and forming the impact that I see myself making in this world. IR has been a catalyst that has launched me into the world of leadership, coaching, and truly feeling what its like to be the change that I want to see. I have learned, at very deep levels, what it means to connect with people and lead them to their own inner power with compassion, diligence, PLAY, and maybe a little pressure or tough love sometimes. (hehe :))

It is with sad news and almost trembling hands that I am announcing my leave from the playground. As committed to personal growth and transformation as I am, I have decided to move forward towards my next adventure in life.

Rest assured, the CORE SYSTEM of Innovative Results is what creates coaches like myself. I am a product of an amazing structure, progression, and educational development program that challenges coaches in multifaceted ways to strive further than ever before. The growth that IR coaches move through as they participate in their own leadership develops the foundation that I exude. You are in great hands still, my friend.

I appreciate your time, effort, encouragement, communication, connection, and love throughout these last 4 years. Keep being you because you are amazing and full of beautiful potential that this world needs.

  • Manny120When did you start training at Innovative Results?

I started training at Innovative Results in November of 2014. Two and a half years ago.

  • Why did you start training with Innovative Results?

Well, to make a long story… long, I met Aaron about 8 years ago at a toastmaster’s event and came into Innovative Results at the time for a session- It KILLED me… and I was pretty committed to my current trainer at the time, So…I didn’t go back.

Fast forward 6 years later and my wife is telling me that she is finally serious about finding a trainer that she can be accountable to so that she can finally get fit…(she is a former collegiate coxswain and volleyballer- she’s a former jock…

I KNEW that she would absolutely LOVE Aaron- so I set up an assessment- – she did LOVE Aaron (it’s hard not to <3) and I signed her up….BUT I was a LITTLE bit JEALOUS (as a recovering triathlete)… Innvoative Results was SOOO COOL and I wanted to go too. So I signed up for a month unlimited special and ended up going 5 out of 6 days a week for a month. Yes, it was challenging but totally AWESOME…

    What have you improved since you started training with Innovative Results?

Dude! Where do I start?!…Ok, Ok. I have more physical confidence. As a lifelong “ tall and skinny guy” I have never felt fast, strong, or solid in any way…

Now I am competing on the Innvoative Results Kettlebell Team. =)

I have more physical confidence as I “feel” stronger.

  • What kept you coming back to Innovative Results?

IR is like family. That. Is. All.

  • How has Innovative Results improved the other areas of your life (i.e. work, relationships, finances, education)?

Athletes are my primary clientele. As a runner, and triathlete, and now as a member of the Innovative Results Kettlebell Sport Competition Team, I have more street credibility with my clientele and perspective clientele. Added bonus, my work is now easier and since I also teach my clients how to move, I have become more educated as a movement professional. Aaron Guyett is a nationally recognized MASTER TRAINER- he teaches professionals from all over the globe about fitness, movement, and, most importantly- EXCELLENCE in all aspects of life.

  • Manny_pagsWhat advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with Innovative Results?

Start at your own pace. Aaron and the crew AND the Innovative Results Family (clients) are all here to help you succeed. As a client it totally STOKES me to see new folks show up and stick with it.

STICK WITH IT. You WILL improve. Give your body time. Be PATIENT.

Folks who come in consistently WILL see improvement in 30 days. But the real transformation takes place over the long term. This is the difference between dabbling and actually making a LIFE CHANGE.

There are MANY folks at Innovative Results who have been with Innovative Results for many years. I will be there for a LONG time…

  • How has your life changed since you started training at Innovative Results?

MannyAwardI am doing something that I NEVER expected I would be doing…Competitive Kettlebell Sport. I have a rather severe Scoliosis. NEVER thought I’d be lifting weights…NEVER thought lifting weights competitively would make my body feel better. It DOES! But it does because of 1) Aaron’s expertise in Kettlebell Sport (he is a Kettlebell Sport world championships contender) and 2) my consistency in training.

  • Who would you want to experience what you get to experience at Innovative Results?

I recommend Innovative Results to EVERY one of my clients. They ALL need to move better and have better access to usable functional strength and positive mental programming.

  • Why do you stay committed to your improvement in and out of the gym?

Umm…This is my FAMILY now… Nuff said!

The essay below is by Aubrie Pohl, an incredible leader and coach at Innovative Results.

Each fitness coach and intern at Innovative Results goes through a continued education and development system, that we call the IR3 progression (IR3 stands for Innovative Results-Mindset, Movement, Recovery).
We believe very strongly that each team member is a leader of leaders, and when a leader and fitness coach improves their quality of life, they will inevitably improve the quality of life for everyone they encounter throughout their life.
Aubrie has accomplished four levels of our company’s development and education system. The fourth level is no easy feat, taking Aubrie close to a year to complete, she finalized her achievement with this essay.

7 Tips To Keep Holiday Weight Off This Year From Innovative Results

Are Holidays Making You Fat?

Most people will allow parties, dinners, shopping and other distractions ‘sideline’ them for 2 months…

Start today and make a decision to stay on track with your fitness goals.

Remember why you started making these changes: improve quality of life, live for your kids, enjoy activities, breath easier, or look better for your significant other.

What still needs to change?

Picture it, write it down and make it a priority.

Here are 7 Tips to Keep Holiday Weight Off  This Year- Adopt three or so of the following strategies:

  1. Use the appetizer plate for dinner.  (smaller plate)
  2. Put only two items on your plate during any given trip to the table. Return as many times as you like, but only take two items each time.
  3. Use the volume approach to make yourself feel full.  Chow down on the big healthy stuff (broccoli and carrots) and then see if you have room for the rest.
  4. When you think you will be distracted by an important (or fun) conversation, set the food down and give it your full attention.  Remember, the more you’re distracted by people or events–the Superbowl—perhaps– the more you will tend to eat unknowingly.
  5. If you are really worried about overeating at a cocktail party or buffet-style meal, arrive late or leave early.  If you show up late, most of the good stuff will be gone.  Leave early and you will make it easier to avoid a second (or third) helping of dessert.
  6. Don’t wear comfortable clothing to a party! Wear your tightest dress or pants and then put a belt on top. You’ll not only look hot, you’ll know exactly when you’ve eaten too much.
  7. Stick to your healthy eating habits 80-90% of the time, then plan cheat meals (parties).

When you activate small and large muscle groups by using body weight with slow movements or isometrics, but what about a way to dynamically activate the most important muscle groups?

There is always a way to simplify and regress the basic activation drills, but how do we progress and add difficulty to any of those exercises?

Meet the Power Wheel.

The Power Wheel is a great tool that every body shape and size can use. It is a safe piece of equipment to use for exercise where we can minimize the risk of injury. If there exercise exacerbates certain potentially injurious movements, all the subject has to do is stop, without dropping any dangerous amount of weights or any bulky gym equipment.

Six Power Wheel Exercises

Most important highlighted feature of this tool is that it pin points specific postural muscle groups statically or dynamically in such a short period of time. You want an exercise tool that will shred your abs and tone your entire body with just a short 5 – 10 minute workout a few times a week; well you have to include the power wheel.

power wheelThe power wheel can regress a dead-lift to just a simple hinge off of the floor and make anyone shake and tremble or take a basic plank and make it exponentially more difficult to maintain a neutral as their face drips with beads of sweat.

To simplify the bio-mechanics behind why this piece of equipment is so challenging is because it is so unstable while you are affixed to it, whether it be gripping the handles with white knuckles or strapping your feet in like it is an adventure sport. After you are fastened to the Power Wheel and chose your exercise, it is further made deceptively more wobbly by the free rolling wheel. While the wheel moves it is strenuous just to maintain a neutral spine and therefore recruits substantially more muscle cells from our abdominal group than any other body weight floor exercise.

power wheel crawlThe Power Wheel is an efficient and highly effective tool. Every level of exercise enthusiast can safely utilize this tool with minimal to zero risk of injury. Lastly the Power Wheel targets every necessary postural muscle group, entire abdominal wall, obliques, serratus anterior, intercostals, transverse abdominis, spinal erectors, lats, hip extensors, flexors, and add/abductors, hamstrings, glutes and quads and the rest of your structure completely.

The Orange County Fitness Playground has been Beatrice’s home away from home for the past six months, and she has been getting stronger, more flexible, and improved your muscle tone with us.

She has been such an avid member that I asked her a few questions about why she loves it here at the Innovative Results fitness gym, and why she likes training with the Innovative Results fitness coaches.

This is what she said:

When did you start training at Innovative Results?

I started training at the beginning of February.

Why did you start training with Innovative Results?

Orange County personal training program helps people lose weightI started training with Innovative Results to lose some weight and increase mobility/flexibilty.

What have you improved since you started training with Innovative Results?

Definitely! I think overall I’ve increased my energy levels and see gains in strength all the time

What kept you coming back to Innovative Results?

I like the team!

You guys are really helpful and drive the intensity hard plus the movements are difficult but not dangerous.

Plus, you don’t make me wear shoes.

How has Innovative Results improved the other areas of your life (i.e. work, relationships, finances, education)?

It has definitely given me a boost of energy at work and my coworkers and supervisor can see that I am not lagging at the end of the day.

What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with Innovative Results?

I think that they should choose a schedule they can stick to, I knew I wouldn’t have the energy and often wouldn’t be able to make it to workout after work so I chose 5 am.

5 am is still probably earlier than I need but I like the other clients and the general calm of the morning at 5 am.

I wouldn’t say I am a morning person, but I have always worked better going to sleep early and getting up early.

Anyway it’s about what is going to work for them 95% of the time.

I might encourage them to try a morning just because it is so much easier to blow off an evening workout.

How has your life changed since you started training at Innovative Results?

I feel better and it keeps me on track with a healthy diet because it certainly feels like a waste to train and then eat crap.

I am always happier and more focused when I have a physical exercise routine that lets me kind of turn off my brain and focus on the exertion.

Who would you want to experience what you get to experience at Innovative Results?

I would love everyone I know to experience Innovative Results.

Why do you stay committed to your improvement in and out of the Innovative Results fitness gym?

Exercising in the morning or during the day makes me more aware of my posture and body the entire day.

I take more time to stretch or recover.

I do my best to stay committed to my goals to look and feel better and improve my strength which I guess with constant reminders get me to eat healthy and wake up at 4:35 to see your smiling face everyday.

It can be very hard to get motivated and create the daily habits that are necessary for improved quality of life and health after having kids.

Below are his answers to our interview.

When did you start training at Innovative Results?

Why did you start training with Innovative Results?

After my kids were born, I became less active and got out of shape pretty quick.

Wanted to get back into shape to have the energy to enjoy activities with them.

What have you improved since you started training with Innovative Results?

Overall fitness. I’m stronger and overall mobility has increased since I stared at Innovative Results.

I’m still able to compete in basketball leagues against guys 10-15 years younger than me.

What kept you coming back to Innovative Results?

Workouts, trainers, and members. Great workout environment, no workout is the same and anyone can do them.

Everyone is encouraging and you don’t feel intimidated to try anything.

Orange County Fitness PlaygroundHow has Innovative Results improved the other areas of your life (i.e. work, relationships, finances, education)?

Working out at Innovative Results has improved my overall health.

I now have more energy to make it through the work day.

I used to rely heavily on bad snacks to get me through the workday, but now I’m much more alert and focused without having to snack.

What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with Innovative Results?

Be patient and stay focused.

At first some of the workouts can be intimidating and difficult.

Go at your own pace and you’ll see improvement in your fitness in no time.

Everyone is there to help and encourage you.

I now have the energy to keep up with my 3 kids and their activities.

They’re now getting to the age where we can enjoy activities together.

I’m able to keep up with their energy levels now.

Why do you stay committed to your improvement in and out of the gym?

I just turned 40 and just because I’m older doesn’t mean I can’t stay fit and live a healthy lifestyle.

I met Rakesh through his wife Anshika.

He was interested in the Innovative Results fitness training program.

His wife Anshika was a part of the fitness training program at Innovative Results, and Rakesh was interested in reaching a few fitness goals himself.

Both Anshika and Rakesh, continue to amaze me with their commitment, focused intensity, hard work, and patient endurance.

Through his amazing work ethic and consistency, Rakesh is still getting stronger, losing body fat, gaining muscle, improving his performance, and increasing his endurance at Innovative Results–The Orange County Fitness Playground.Orange County personal trainers at Innovative Results, The Orange County Fitness Playground

I wanted to know what kept Rakesh coming back for more, and why he continues to work hard towards his goals, so I asked him a few questions. Here are his answers:

1. When did you start training at Innovative Results?

I started training at Innovative Results in early 2007.

2. Why did you start training with Innovative Results?

I was in early thirties at that time, and had multiple failed attempts with going regularly to 24 hr fitness.

After being diagnosed with low good cholesterol and high bad cholesterol during my annual physical check, I decided to give a trainer based fitness program a try.

My wife introduced me to Aaron, and I started training with Innovative Results.

3. What kept you coming back to Innovative Results?

Innovative Results Fitness Program at The Orange County Fitness Playground, TestimonialsWithin a year of joining Innovative Results, my cholesterol levels were back to normal range.

Those statistics were good enough to convince me that this body needs exercise, as much as it needs food every day.

Every time I couldn’t get out of bed to go to Innovative Results, I would remind myself that exercise is a meal for body.

After a point, my body got addicted & it would remind me if I missed a meal for too long.

The most important reasons that kept me coming back were Aaron & Corey.

These 2 guys are best in the industry.

Their core belief in making a positive influence on community or someone’s life helps them go beyond just trainers and make them stand out in the pack of fitness coaches, personal trainers, and fitness gyms.

Other reasons include – Friendly staff at Innovative Results, “Surprise Variety” factor in workout routines, and realizing results as promised with strength and stamina.

4. What have you improved since you started training with Innovative Results?

a. Improved determination – that kept me going for last 9 years

b. Defy aging: I believe that my photographs today look about the same as I was 9 years ago but feel more toned and have improved strength and endurance.

c. Balanced mind: Work out at IR is also a stress buster for me. It helps break the continuity of thoughts with professional and personal life matters and allow you to be you for an hour.

d. Ability to say “Yes” to outdoor events – Hiking, Skiing, Running, Jogging and more – I enjoy these activities more because I feel that I have stamina to go long.

 

5. How has Innovative Results improved the other areas of your life (i.e. work, relationships, finances, education)?

Innovative Results, Innovative Results Gym, Innovative Results Family, Family workout, workout with family, group workoutsI have made great friends at Innovative Results.

It’s a great place for networking as you meet people from different walks of life.

I have a great respect for Aaron’s Marine Corps service background, and have embraced importance of discipline, good eating habits, importance of why we do what we do in my professional and personal life.

6. What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with Innovative Results?

I would tell newbies that this place delivers long term results and will give you value for your money.

You will never get bored working out here.

If you give your best shot when you are at IR, you will be surprised to see how fast your physical limits overcome mental limits.

7. How has your life changed since you started training at Innovative Results?

IR has become necessary partner in life.

8. Who would you want to experience what you get to experience at Innovative Results?

There are few of my friends.

Because I believe that we all are God blessed to have a wonderful life with beautiful kids & partner.

ishii sled drive at Innovative ResultsAlan was ready to make a change when I first saw him roll into Innovative Results, but he was apprehensive about Innovative Results being able to help him.

We did what we do best, asking him good questions about his goals and reasons to achieve those fitness goals, and then we set up good programming for him to reach his aspirations.

With his consistency and hard work, and Innovative Results fitness program, he is now one of the strongest and most competitive clients we have at The Orange County Fitness Playground.

Fitness gym in Orange CountyI remember Innovative Results hosted a unconventional training competition, with an obstacle course, heavy sandbag lifts, rope pulls, chain drags, and all sorts of other very challenging exercises to tax even the most powerful, strong, endurance-filled, and technical athletes…and with our programming he came in second place!

Needless to say we have been honored to train Alan, and watch him grow.

He now competes weekly with Innovative Results Active Performance Training.

We took some time out to ask him why he keeps coming back, and this is what he said:

When did you start training at Innovative Results?

Tustin Personal trainersI started training at Innovative Results back in… you know what, I don’t even know off the top of my head (2012).

It has become one of those things that is a part of my routine and I can’t remember when it started exactly.

That’s a good thing for me.

Why did you start training with Innovative Results?

Orange County Fitness GymI was wanting to stay active and “be in shape” (whatever that means).

A friend and I had hopped around a few groupon deals, but never found one that stuck.

Then a friend mentioned Innovative Results so we looked into it.

We instantly noticed a welcoming staff that took the time to ask good questions to get us started in the most intentional way possible.

Past history with exercising, experience level, past injuries if any, expectations, what we were looking for, etc.

They definitely wanted to improve our quality of life.

What have you improved since you started training with Innovative Results?

I have, without a doubt, become stronger and more agile.

Since training with Innovative Results I feel like I can take on any challenge.

They have shown me that if I keep working at it, I will be able to achieve it.

Sounds like a life lesson there.

What kept you coming back to Innovative Results?

I keep coming back because I am challenged personally, and I feel like I am part of a team.

The workouts are well thought out, so I don’t have to think.

I can turn off my brain if I want, and work as hard as I want.

It’s fun, new, supportive, challenging, different, and it helps me take on life outside of the gym.

How has Innovative Results improved the other areas of your life (i.e. work, relationships, finances, education)?

When you can take care of your health, it naturally incorporates itself into other aspects of your daily life.


What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with Innovative Results?

Once you choose to be consistent, your busyness will become better managed.

You will be happier, healthier, stronger, more energetic, flexible, and better prepared to take on life.

You may come in the front door alone, but you are never alone in your pursuit.

There is a team of coaches and a team of people just like you that will challenge and encourage you to achieve.

How has your life changed since you started training at Innovative Results?

Health has become very important to me and my family, and it is difficult to imagine not being able to train at Innovative Results.

I am much more active with my daughter, wife, friends, and sports.

I know that I can continue to be active late in life, because of what I do now.

Who would you want to experience what you get to experience at Innovative Results?

Everyone deserves this experience!

Most people don’t know they are capable of it, but they are.

Why do you stay committed to your improvement in and out of the gym?

God gave me one life, this one, and I don’t take that for granted.

I do it for myself, my wife, my daughter, my family, and my friends.

Because I deserve it and they deserve my best.

There are too many options in this world that will rob us of real life.

It is hard to find things that you can put yourself into that will give you life.

This is one of those life giving things that I will stay committed to.

Lose Body Fat and Get Stronger is Why This Busy, Working Mom Comes To Innovative Results

If there is such a thing as Super Woman, she is that person!

She is a single mother with two kids, and a very successful business woman in Orange County, California. English is her second language, and I am pretty sure she speaks more than just English and Chinese.

The Innovative Results fitness coaches are constantly amazed at her hard work, consistency, and commitment to her weekly workouts (two to four times per week).

We were so impressed with her physical and mental improvements that we interviewed her to understand more clearly how she is able to do it all.

I started training around May 2013.

Why did you start training with Innovative Results?

My son started training at Innovative Results first.

After I watched him for couple months.

I was really impressed with everything he was doing with personal trainer, so I decided to give it a try.

What have you improved since you started training with Innovative Results?

I’m much stronger

I have gained lean muscles, and learned how to work out properly, without injuring my lower back.

It worked!

The Innovative Results coaches are professional trainers that will design different exercise and fitness routines every week for your benefit.

The personal trainers make sure you get full body workout.

Every week is different.

The training program is not boring like traditional gym.

I always feel energized and happy after the workouts.

The coaches at Innovative Results teach me how to live a healthy lifestyle, both in and out of the gym.

The coaches emphasize positive energy.

They teach you to be the best of yourself, and never give up.

What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with Innovative Results?

Just keep going, don’t quit.

If I can do it at age of 44, you can do it too.

How has your life changed since you started training at Innovative Results?

I’m healthier and stronger.

I lost body fat and gained lean muscle.

Who would you want to experience what you get to experience at Innovative Results?

I will bring my daughter to the Innovative Results gym this summer.

Why do you stay committed to your improvement in and out of the gym?

I want to stay in shape, and live an active, healthy life.
