IR's Charity Training Session Helps to Fund Resource Programs for Teen Moms

November 6, 2014 by ptpt Leave a Comment

Jessie Penne Ropes

IR Charity Training Sessions Serves…

Meet Terrilee Stevenson, the Executive Assistant supporting the Lead Pastor and Executive team at The Crossing.

The Community Organization highlighted this week is…

Fristers (Teen Pregnancy Ministry) is a nonprofit founded and operated on Christian principles that is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and abuse within the teen mom population by providing education, access to resources, role models and support to teen age mothers and their children. To accomplish our mission, Fristers offers the LifeCoach weekly program for teen moms, pregnant or parenting, within the ages of 13-24, and the Kidsters Childcare and School Readiness program for their children, ages 0-7.

LifeCoach addresses the unique needs of teen mothers and provides them with education, access to resources, role models and support. Participants attend a 32 week program that includes classroom teaching, relationship-building activities, one-to-one coaching, and group projects and field trips. The Kidsters Childcare and School Readiness Program is designed to nurture and teach the children, while giving teen mothers a safe childcare option so that they can fully devote themselves to learning and growing during the LifeCoach program.

Their Biggest Success Story so far…

Well, Fristers will just be coming to The Crossing for the first time in September 2014, so right now we are in the process of recruiting volunteers for the program and teen moms to attend. Biggest success would have to be that we have had 3 pregnant teen moms come into the office to sign up for the program starting in September.

Why be involved?DSC00132_resize

I feel called to Fristers, in part, because I feel like I have been given much: grew up in a healthy, Christian family with good role models in my parents, an amazing husband and 3 incredible kids. I have a heart to help these girls to move past their circumstances and succeed in life, to be more than what most people expect of them, to help them see that they matter and that God loves them more than they know.

Support Fristers, and many other GO Ministries & Community Programs by attending IR’s Charity Training Session every Saturday at 10am!

With a suggested $10 donation to attend, this is by far the most mutually beneficial hour of your week!!

Innovative Results Partners with Costa Mesa GO Ministries to Give Care Packages for the Troops

October 16, 2014 by ptpt Leave a Comment

By: Aaron Guyett

I asked Lisa Arellano of The Crossing Church in Costa Mesa to share what she does for Local GO Ministries to help the Newport Mesa community, and this is what she said:

CourtneyW

“I am Lisa Arellano, and I am a Veteran of the United States Army. I am a volunteer and member of The Crossing Church of Costa Mesa, and I have been aching for ministries that are local that I can relate to. As a Veteran coming home from deployment was devastating. The morale is very down when you’re separated from home and loved ones. I’m single with no family of my own, so I didn’t get the care packages and goodies I saw others getting. Packages For Troops or (OI) Operation Interdependence offers a small quart size package to any soldier in the military, as a little piece of home. The most important part of the package is the encouraging note that it comes with.”

“I do this because, my heart goes out to those at war, so that they will know that I care!”

Innovative Results partners with GO Ministries to give back to our local community in Costa Mesa and Orange County through fitness and training.

Come to Innovative Results, 2925 Airway Ave, Suite J, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, every Saturday at 10am, and donate $10 to the community, while experiencing the best fitness training in Orange County.

Reasons IR’s Boot Camp for Charity Supports GO Ministries – Part 2

December 10, 2013 by ptpt Leave a Comment

The stories keep coming!
Thank you all for sharing your incredible experiences and for supporting an amazing cause.

GO Uganda

A change in perspective……..Keri Moore

In 2004 my husband and I sponsored a young orphan girl from Uganda, 9 years old, through Compassion International & The Crossing church. Uganda was the most unimaginable place in the world to me; dark, unexplored, AIDS infested. But we could do one small thing for a child, a stranger. We laughingly joked that God probably was going to tell us to go there but I knew I NEVER would!!!!

In 2005 the church put together a trip to Uganda to visit our sponsored children. When I heard about it I felt sick in the pit of my stomach. I just knew God was going to take me there and I was so scared! Was pretty sure I’d contract AIDS and die or get kidnapped & raped by a group of roaming bad people and every other horrible scenario possible. I also felt that the level of fear I had was in direct proportion to my need to go, to trust God at that same level.
We went….I not only survived but found myself utterly spiritually freed and open to all of the world. I began to get a sense of the world as God saw it; His children, His creation.

One day I was walking down a dirt road, people in front of me and people behind me but completely alone in my space. Everything around me seemed surreal, like my body was there but my spirit felt different, lighter, detached, not really inside me. I got a sudden and overwhelming feeling of complete emptiness. Not the “I’m-so-alone” emptiness but an emptiness like the me I’d known was gone. I wasn’t processing the moment through my own senses, my body felt like a shell, light and thin, and my brain said one thing; “this is who God made me to be and where I am supposed to be”. Even though I was experiencing a loss of myself I was simultaneously experiencing a sense of myself as He made me! No history, no judgments, no over-analyzing, no fear, no worry or concern or even thought of the next moment, just a sense of complete purity. It was the strangest, most beautiful, most inspiring thing that’s ever happened to me. It has never happened again but I KNOW I understood something deeply personal from God in that moment. I also realized that I had to tell people, encourage them, help them somehow get an experience for themselves. My mission became to help others find a connection to God through going into the world. Not my experience but one deeply personal for them.

He is waiting for us to seek Him.

Welcome to Thanksgiving Week Everybody!

The IR Team could not be more thankful for our friends and family, each of our followers and every single past and present client!

As the Holidays bring many friends and family members home to visit, IR wanted to do something very special this weekend as an appreciation to you, and the Costa Mesa community.

After feasting on all the amazingly yummy, home-cooked goodies this week, and the food-coma naps we will be taking with a joyous smile on our faces IR welcomes you and your family members to come in and work off some of that flavorful goodness!

Friends and family are welcome all week at Innovative Results, especially this Saturday!

Most of you are aware that Innovative Results hosts a Boot Camp for Charity every Saturday morning at 10am. For the past 2 years it has been a 1 hour workout that requested a $10 donation with all proceeds going to a charity that assisted both locally and globally in the fight against children stricken by poverty.  This weekend IR is going to change it up!

On Saturday, November 30th, IR is going to make the donation for YOU!

That’s right, Innovative Results is going give you an incredible FREE workout AND to show our thanks, IR is going to donate $10 for each local attendee.

The more people that show, the more $$ IR donates to the charity of your choice below –

Share Your English – Tutoring program set up to work one-on-one with students to help practice/improve their English.
The Street Team – Led by IR client Jeff Costa, The Street Team works to equip people as they develop positive habits that will help them “walk” through their everyday life.

Message From The Crossing’s Time Celek Hits Home For Innovative Results

November 25, 2008 by ptpt Leave a Comment

He said the difference between a dangerous church that really puts the love of Christ out there and a church that just follows the norm to barely get by is this: pain, risk, and loss.

Amazing message Tim! He captured my heart spiritually and motivated me in my business.

It is the same with a person who needs to lose weight, get healthy, and look good. There are a few ways you will know you are well on your way to the body, mind, and spirit you desire. The first is PAIN.

It will take some work, as well as it will take someone with the will to overcome obstacles, challenges, and uncertainty. In other words when the pain comes, you can either endure it, fix it, or run away, but let it be known if you run away it will only be more painful the next time. Worse yet, it will hurt a lot worse when you die physically, mentally, or spiritually from not changing. After pain is dealt with, it must also be known that risk is a huge part of the change.

Risk is when you go out on a limb to try something you have never done before to get something you’ve always wanted, you’ve never had, or you are trying to earn back. For some this means a coach, trainer, program, etc, and for all it means changing a lifestyle. Now the only thing left is loss.

Not only the loss of weight, but the possibility of losing a lifestyle, some friends who really weren’t friends, or worse yet your precious desserts (insert most desired lifestyle that currently keeps you down). These seem like good things and good loss, but I have witnessed many people revert back to their old ways, allowing the weight, low self-esteem, and lack of positivity creep back into their life. This is perhaps the worse of the three ways you know you are on the right track.

Get ready for some PAIN, RISK, and LOSS, and take the next step to get what you have always desired.

Thank you Tim and The Crossing for placing fruit in my life

Tim Celek working through his pain, risk, and loss.
