When I think of Warrior, this is what I think.

When I think of Warrior, I think of elite military warriors, and then immediately think of elite fighters.

I think about this every time I deliver a new workout or give some homework to the warriors here at the Innovative Results, Costa Mesa Facility.

I have been explaining a lot of what goes on in the process to create, refine, and sharpen the warriors here, but I don’t think I brought it back to the origin of WARRIOR TRAINING. Why Warrior?
Now there is an obvious definition to the type of training one should recieve, but more importantly, what one is striving for when they are training mentally and physically as a warrior.
Now the Warriors will put their money where their mouths are, and be given an opportunity to “test” their training. We are coming up on a couple of different venues that we can train for, but also “bounce” our training off of…to see if it is indeed what we accomplished through the daily sacrifices (the blood, the sweat, the tears…)
Here are the two “elite military” venue tests:
The GoRuck Challenge San Diego, CA- May 14 1:00 AM (headlamp required)
Designed by Green Berets, this is an event (or cadre) that will push you physically and mentally. The time and distance is not given, allowing for the creativity of these special forces soldiers to deliver the ultimate in elite military testing. 6-9 hours,12-18 miles at least, all with a 20lb ruck (pack), and with an assortment of”other” activities.

Tough Mudder Southern California (LA) Snow Valley, CA May 28 & 29, 2011
Designed by British Special Forces…this is definitely NOT your regular “tough” mud run, and to make it harder…we have decided to do it as part of the GoRuck Team WITH a 20 lb pack on (as long as we passed the May 14th GoRuck Challenge…). http://toughmudder.com/events/socal/
While each warrior trains for these events they will also be given parallel instruction on how to defend themselves and those around them with self-defense tactics and practical application. None of the training is easy, but it is all periodized to a purpose. To be the best warrior one can possibly be.
