Balance in Motion – Tips to Create Healing Without Stopping the Process

April 25, 2012 by ptpt 2 Comments

Every process going on in our body happens for a reason, including inflammation. Our body reacts to a tissue tear by sending a signal to create swelling (our body’s way of immobilizing an area and bringing blood flow to help heal). If we choose to pop a few anti-inflammatory meds, we block the initial phase of tissue healing. In the short-term, the swelling goes down and pain is relieved, but the long-term trade off is often impaired resolution, like scar tissue. This is why we often injure the same spots over and over.
Here are a couple great ways to create healing without stopping the process: one old and one new.
Acupuncture has been around for centuries. By stimulating specific points on the body, it works to enhance our body’s response to injury and help us move through the healing phase faster. It also helps with stress-management and metabolism.

A painless cutting-edge technology that also works with our body’s natural response is the Class IV K-laser.  This laser supercharges injured and dysfunctional tissues on the cellular level to perform “photobiomodulation”. In essence it gives your body’s cells more energy so they repair and regenerate new tissue faster. The patient experiences a pleasant warm sensation during the treatment, similar to ultrasound, but the lasers has the power to penetrate much deeper into the tissues.
Come into BALANCE IN MOTION and receive a complimentary consultation and your first K-laser session.  Experience improved tissue healing for yourself.  Call (949) 515-4006 or email us to make an appointment.
