Irvine Personal Trainer Solves Your Weight Loss Resolution

December 31, 2016 by ptpt 26 Comments

GirlsLC_pagsIrvine Personal Trainer Solves the New Year’s Resolution, To Lose Weight, with Simplicity, Automation, and Delegation

By: Aaron Guyett

The idea is to win or succeed in all of your endeavors and desires, and if you lose or fail, learning should occur to win the next time. This idea and the novel idea that all that has happened in the past is done and over, it can only be used to make better decisions for the future and to create the “right” actions, thoughts and words in the present. I think more than making the “right” decisions is being happy with the decisions made. So there is a one question to ask yourself before you continue. If you want to win…what is the emotion or reason behind the supposed #1 New Year’s Resolution, to lose weight?

If the reason or emotion is deep seeded enough, and the visualization of your success brings about happiness, let’s make your dreams come true!

jeff_laurie lunge

First, let’s simplify.

Losing weight is as simple as calories in and calories out. If this is true scientifically, you need only create thoughts, actions, and words to create a caloric deficit. How will you do this? Magic number 5:

  1. Write down your current situation specifically, with as many details as possible.
  2. Write down your goal specifically with as many details as possible. Now put away number one, and don’t look at it until March. Put your goal everywhere you look. When you see it remind yourself OUT LOUD what you are doing and why you are doing it (refer to the emotion or reason for the New Year’s Resolution).
  3. Know you can do it! (If you can’t get past this, than stop wasting your time reading this article)
  4. Become conscious of what you eat! (Write it all down. Everything that you put in you mouth liquid or solid, and know the calories) Journaling your diet is more of a mental task for yourself. If you don’t do it, hang up the resolution.
  5. Become active! Kill your TV, computer, (insert your biggest time waster here), and get outside and move! If you need help with this, email info@innovative-results.com.

Now it is time to automate.

Automation frees up time for you to do other things besides calculate calories and prepare meal plans. Two ways to do this:

  1. Get a trainer to do it for you. Email us at info@innovative-results.com
  2. Get an app (myfitnesspal is my favorite) and start recording your nutrition, hydration, and workouts. You will still need self-discipline. They will help you out, and it is free!

Last but not least delegate.

Delegation of your responsibilities, accountability, and discipline is a sure fire way to keep the flame burning bright and hot! 5 ways to delegate, what the delegation is:

  1. Accountability, responsibility, and disciplined can be delegated to a trainer and the trainer should help instill self-accountability, responsibility, and discipline.
  2. Family should hold you accountable to your goals. Be sure to describe the task they will be holding for you, because they love you and want you to succeed. If this is not the case with your family, fire them and make a new one.
  3. Friends should provide the same accountability systems as your family, if they are not on track with you, then your success should live with their uninvolved, unhelpful lives somewhere else.
  4. Co-workers cannot be fired, but they can be warned of the money that is involved should they adhere to your requests. Don’t have money? Tell them you are in a huge competition, and if you win you can take two people on a trip to the Cayman Islands. Hmmmm…who should I pick? (You might not win the competition, but you will win some hearts and minds for the time it takes you to get to your goal—maybe even some cheerleaders)
  5. Once you get to your goals you may rehire your lost family members, friends, and trainer for the spread of your newly acquired outlook on life. You did it!

Finding the Motivation to Make a Change

December 30, 2016 by ptpt 5 Comments

creating yourself

Finding the motivation to make a change is an ever elusive creature, taking us to the depths of despair and the highest mountain peaks.

As Zig Ziglar says, “People say motivation doesn’t last, and I say, ‘neither does bathing, which is why we should do it daily!'”

Everyone is looking to make some positive changes in their lives, but not every is actually able to make them and stick with them. I want to help you do both today with this motivation resource.

If you can make one small improvement, and keep it for the rest of your life, you will be on step further than most of the population on this planet of ours.

Motivations and goals are different, but when used together they are powerful beyond measure for great change and improvements in our life!!

So, how do you make your motivations and goals stick?

Why do most people make goals now and then forget about them a few weeks later?

I believe it has a lot to do with how those people set goals and how important those goals are to them in the first place.

So where do you start?

WAKSCawardsHere are some cool resources and articles to help get on the right track:

  • How to set goals
  • How to find motivation
  • How to stay on track
  • Wanna Lose weight?

I hope this year finds you with health and happiness.

You really can do everything you desire!

I believe in you!

The Hidden Solution to Successful Change – Innovative Results and Aaron Guyett’s Technique for Transformation

The Hidden Solution to Successful Change

Aaron Guyett is one of the Nations Top Trainers, as said in Ms. Fitness Magazine
Aaron Guyett is one of the Nation’s Top Trainers, as said in Ms. Fitness Magazine

Genesis
Genesis is part one in–The Hidden Solution to Successful Change. Genesis is the first book of the bible, giving account of the biblical Christian’s creation. It also means, the way in which something comes to be. I firmly believe the majority of the beings on earth (and possibly the beings in the universe) are blind to what is happening here and now. It seems everyone is fighting or struggling for a piece of the pie, when one need only relax and just be, creating peace and tranquility through thought and knowledge of self and the universe. Now, Genesis can take on a new meaning. One of new creation, formation, origination, and/or evolution of self in order to see and believe in the endless possibilities which are you.
1000

Understanding the Concept
The hidden solution, code, mystery, or hidden source to success is to adjust one’s psycho-cybernetic mechanism through neural reconditioning by PIVADRUM, which creates cataclysmic change through creative streaming.

To achieve endless success or enlightened oneness with the source (energy, universe, god) or whatever else one may call it (infinite love, ultimate achievement, unlimited freedom, etc.) one need only look as far as oneself. Life and our interaction with life is created by our perception through an infinite source or being. This agrees with religion and science, god and the big bang, energy and universe. Simply put we and the things around we are energy and movement of this energy in a field of nothingness. This means the energy is either a creation of god or it is the movement from an infinite source called “the big bang.” No one can answer as to what was there before the big bang, but I can try.

Only consciousness or an infinite thought without the constraints of time and space.
Why create physical manifestations with time and space—why not? I cannot give you a thesis or a word that says it any better, and I think even if I devote my entire (limited) physical and (theoretically unlimited) spiritual life to this answer, I am guessing it wouldn’t come out any better. Now we can move on to oneself again.

Again I say, this limited physical life is only our perception. We are not our brain. We are not our body. We are not our superficial clothes, cars, properties, etc., but we do use this to define us to ourselves. If you think you will have successful change when you own a Ferrari, then when you own a Ferrari, you will be successful. If you believe what someone else’s belief is for success, then you need only live up to his or her expectations. So I say let us define ourselves with endless possibilities—it is our birth right in this physical universe of time and space.

If that was amusing, then strap yourselves in for an even more interesting ride!

brain gearssmPsycho-Cybernetic Mechanism
One’s brain is a psycho-cybernetic mechanism, especially the part of the brain that is one’s subconscious. The subconscious controls most of what one does. If it did not most of us would be an inactive drooling mess concentrating on just moving from one place to another. Without even thinking consciously your brain performs a symphony of functions in a blink of an eye—digestion, blood pumping, breathing, scratching, balancing, dreaming, visualizing, reading, thought, answering, and much more—and that was just to answer a question posed on this paper. Why? Just try to imagine the processes one goes through on a daily basis.

Now, knowledge of this is imperative for how to adjust one’s psycho-cybernetic mechanism. A cybernetic mechanism is a machine that creates homeostasis. Like a thermostat in a room, a cybernetic mechanism will perpetuate or try to perpetuate whatever is programmed into that machine. For instance if one programs a thermostat for 72 degrees, the thermostat will activate the heat or cooling for that room depending if the room is getting warmer or colder. The subconscious does this as well.

Think about what you eat for lunch as an example. If all one knows is fast food one’s body and brain will think about fast food lunches, prepare for fast food lunches, see fast food lunches, and eat fast food lunches until the psycho-cybernetic mechanism is changed to think, prepare, see, and eat a different type of lunch. So how would one change their psycho-cybernetic mechanism?

5-brain-food-1024x668Neural Reconditioning
This is reconditioning the sub-conscious to think, prepare, see, and perform what one’s desired objective is. As an example think of the time when a new car is purchased, do you start seeing that car more often, or better yet, think about when you really want a new car. You haven’t even bought the new car, yet you start seeing it everywhere. Does this mean you created new cars in your head? No, but now your subconscious mind is looking for these cars, whereas before it was not needed information or programmed information for your subconscious.

Neural reconditioning is the creation of highly functioning, often used neural pathways inside your brain, which create certain chemicals and biological processes for the brain, forming a continually used thought or direction of thought. This neurological pathway should take the place of the other pathways and therefore atrophy the pathway which is not used. Using the example one would create a neurological web of pathways for the consumption of healthy foods bought from the store and made for lunch daily. This neural reconditioning can be formed in many ways, and is more successful if there is emotion and creative streaming (or different methods for differing senses). I have created a system called PIVADRUM, which includes as many angles as possible to reach the subconscious in repetition.

Aaron Guyett Views Commando Course

PIVADRUM
PIVADRUM is an acronym, which stands for Prayer (or Positive talk), Imagine, Visualize, Affirm and Declare, Recondition, Understanding (your current emotion/feeling), Meditate. I will show you the path, but you have to be the one that chooses to walk on it. I would love to talk about our PIVADRUM in our weekly interactions.

Prayer or Positive talk
This is a written, read, and said (OUT LOUD) intention in the present tense. It is usually expressed as a thank you or at least with gratitude. The prayer is broken into what you are thankful for, what you have done (which is really what you want to do), the reciprocation of values you want/have/give, why you do what you do, and ease of the process through oneness with the source of divinity (whatever you believe it to be). Here is one as an example:

I am grateful, thankful, and appreciative of every moment! I love life! I am thankful for my global business; my happy, loving, and abundant family; my knowledge and thirst for knowledge, which grows incrementally as time goes on. I have made many accomplishments! I love you; I am loved. I am happy for you; I am happy. I am happy you are abundant; I am abundant! I am love, happiness, and abundance! I live for myself, my family, and my business because I am remembered for the love, happiness, and abundance I give the universe. The universe reciprocates my contributions! The source is kind and gentle in the lessons for my life, and I am closer to the one that is the source: lord, god, energy, universe, life, love, force, unity.

female six pack abs

Imagine
Then I go into Imagine. This is where I imagine the endless or infinite possibilities of my life. It can be difficult, but I do it by seeing my standing with the ability to move in any direction, or I try to imagine that everything is made up of the same energy at a subatomic level, which can be changed by my mind’s/spirit’s thoughts.

Visualize
Now, my favorite, time to Visualize, this is where I play a movie in my head, where I have the lead role, and I am in the future, doing the things I want to do and having the things I want to have. I would write mine down but it would take forever to explain because it has become so detailed. The more detailed the better, because your subconscious perceives it as real.

Affirm and Declare
Then I go through a few positive Affirmations and/or Declarations such as: I am love, happiness, and abundance (or I have it/give it). I am at one with the source. I have a strong body, mind, and spirit, which has unconscious competence (this is a new one! ?), etc.
Recondition by writing it down
Now I write down whatever comes to my mind and then Recondition by reading it, or by looking at pictures/video/words of what I want/have/give. Even smelling familiar or similar smells associated with the objective.

Rob Trained with Innovative Results.
Rob Trained with Innovative Results.

Understand
To Understand, I just ask myself how I feel in the present moment, and then answer with whatever comes to mind (keeping it positive, even if something bad is going on): I feel excited, loved, energized, and satisfied! or I feel grateful that I have an opportunity to achieve love, happiness, abundance in this moment and in the future. (Thus recognizing the present moment isn’t going well, but knowing that without it I would not be human and achieving success wouldn’t be satisfying.

Meditate
The last step is to Meditate. It could be three cleansing breaths long or for an hour at a time. I use one of two different methods. Either I focus on my breathing for about 12-20 breaths trying to “cleanse and strengthen” my body and mind with each breath or I use Holosync, which is a technology putting your brain in an Alpha, theta, or delta wave-state (for more info check out http://www.centerpointe.com).

FINAL WORDS
Every item above should be performed with extreme emotion (notably positive), which will help the neural connections fuse faster, and become larger. (just like traumatic events can create massive mind issues, like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or winning records) All of this takes about 5-20 minutes (or an hour plus with Holosync) depending on my time available and the detail I use for the different methods.
Have fun with PIVADRUM a few times a day (four is a great number: once in the morning when waking, twice in the afternoon, and once right before bed) and I can’t wait to hear about your progress!

One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to improving your quality of life through fitness and health.

Many other trainers simply mix up random exercises to build a TOUGH Circuit.

The truth is that these styles of training don’t necessarily work.

You Are Building a Legacy of Improved Quality of Life at Innovative Results – An Immediate, Short-term, and Long-Term Effect

Building a Legacy of Improved Quality of Life – The Long Term Effects

When Innovative Results started ten years ago, there was always a dream of leaving a lasting impact on the quality of people’s lives with mindset, movement, and recovery.

Utilizing the Innovative Results values of dedication to the basics, diligent change and growth, and serving community, this IR Team and Family is starting to see a long term legacy be forged.

As Innovative Results clients stick with its planned approach to fitness, community, self-development, and team development, they are beginning to see their own legacy of improved quality of life be sustained in their own lives, but also extend into their family’s, coworker’s, and friend’s lives.

As the IR Team continues to work hard with focused intensity and patient endurance for their clients, they are beginning to see the legacy of improved quality of life move into and throughout the local community.

“The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want now.”

– Zig Ziglar

If Innovative Results chose to quit during the hard times when the real estate bubble popped, or when things weren’t going perfectly, thousands of people would not have been directly impacted by the Innovative Results purpose (to improve the quality of life for clients and the community).

Kelly wouldn’t have found core strength or broken her fears.

Marty wouldn’t have been taken of his medications.

Whitney wouldn’t have felt better.

Ian wouldn’t have won a championship.

Shannon wouldn’t have been encouraged.

Josh wouldn’t have improved his attitude on life.

Debbie wouldn’t have received direction for improvement.

Will wouldn’t have realized his strength.

Costa Mesa’s community wouldn’t have felt the amount of love and support that it does today.

And the list goes on.

Innovative Results wanted to help people improve physically, but now also realizes that the implications of building legacy go beyond physical and become both mental and spiritual.

newport beach personal trainerImproved Quality of Life for Clients

As has been written in the two articles – Improved Quality of Life 1 & Improved Quality of Life 2 – that preceded this article, the improvement clients feel and experience at Innovative Results spans across many different aspects of a person’s life.

From mental to physical, every client is improved in many ways.

Beyond the immediate and short-term improved quality of life, clients begin to see their improvements touch the community around them.

They also see their finances, health, longevity, and attitude change for good.

These improvements are long lasting, partly, because they are more rewarding than stronger body, sexier look, or better performance (don’t worry, this is part of your improvement, too), and also because they have deeper impact in people’s lives.

Few people have correlated their waist inches with saving their daughter’s life, or the greatness of their entrepreneurial success, or their down payment on a house.

However, the mental changes that take place from a positive and productive routine called exercise–and in this case training specifically to reach specific goals, such as feel better, look better, move better, and perform better–set the stage for greater events to occur.

EmilysQuotes.Com-time-plant-tree-present-nature-being-a-good-person-inspirational-Chinese-ProverbImproved Quality of Life for a Community

When one client gets better a community gets better.

Think about it, as each client goes home less stressed, more confident, stronger, satisfied with their progress at Innovative Results, they are going to be treating their family with this renewed attitude.

When a person exercises they sleep better, perform better, and tend to budget finances better.

Almost every person in the world could benefit themselves, their family, and a community with those improvements.

Some of these concepts seem intangible or ethereal, when all it takes is a moment to think through the longer term effects of consistent, healthy training to realize the impacts delve deeply into improving the quality of life for a community.

good-habits-are-as-addictive-as-bad-habitsReduced Medical Bills

Let’s take just one aspect of a person’s life.

Reduction of medical bills would drastically improve a persons finances, help bring physical happiness and mental happiness to their life, and improve their productivity and performance at work.

Things like this do not happen in a bubble.

Every person in a community is related on some level or another, and this one simple improvement to one aspect is just the tip of the iceberg to what is happening to improve their own life and the life of the people around them.

garret meditationLonger and More Satisfying Life

It is one thing to live a longer life in misery and pain, but it is quite another to enjoy every year of a long and fruitful existence.

The satisfying part is key.

It is not necessarily moment-to-moment happiness that leads to satisfaction.

There are many champions, winners, lovers, and great people that went through periods of suffering, enduring momentary pain with their eye still on the prize, and that enabled them to live a life which was far more satisfying than if they would have escaped or quit from the time of suffering.

The immediate, short-term and long-term legacy of improved quality of life that Innovative Results brings to its clients is about helping people live that longer and more satisfying life.

This satisfaction goes from the living room to the board room.

Improved Work Capacity

Countless clients have told Innovative Results about the fact that their productivity at work went up since training consistently and eating well for just a few months.

This often-shared story is helpful for the client looking to make a fruitful change in their life and the lives of the people around them.

The work at Innovative Results translated into their home-life, business-life, and recreational life.

They are more satisfied with their days, and are less afraid of challenges that confront every person on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

An Awesome Story to Tell

Every single one of IR’s clients now has an awesome story to tell.

As they have pushed themselves, been encouraged by the IR Team, and been supported by the people they workout with, they have been touched indelibly for the rest of their lives.

They made a decision to do something to improve the quality of their life, and the people’s lives around them.

This is something that matters deeply to the IR Team and to the IR Family.

Innovative Results loves nothing more than to see people transform.

The IR Team cares about seeing improvement in the lives of their clients, and their community.

They care so much they will not be satisfied until they can either directly or indirectly impact every person in their community.

This fitness family wants to hear, share, and shout every success story, because they know it will most definitely effect the lives of all the other people around them.

They want to thank you for sharing your story, and ask that you continue to share it.APSnatchAward

What Happens When You Are Overeating and Undereating?

April 25, 2016 by ptpt 3 Comments

2014-03-15 07.07.02By Aubrie Pohl

Think about a specific nutrition “rule” or “guideline” you follow.

Where did you learn it?

Was it from someone else or your own experience?

What effects have you noticed?

Were you overeating or undereating?

One of the most frequent requests I receive as a trainer/coach/friend/yogi is to create an exact meal plan one can follow.

If I could calculate the amount of hours I have spent on trying DIFFERENT plans on my own body, it would probably be well over 1,000.

The human balance is in a constant state of chaos.
Something that worked 5 years ago for you, might not even affect you now.

I’ve thought hard about how to summarize the essential tips on how to find a perfect balance in your life between fitness, food, and hydration to make it seem really easy, but I concluded that that’s almost impossible.

What is possible?
Creating a deeper relationship with yourself.

The perfect plan for you might not be completely clear to you at the moment, but with a daily check-in to your own body, you will develop a plan that best suits your needs, energy levels, and lifestyle.

First Things First, Eat Clean.healthy food collage

Our body is only as efficient as the nutrition we supply.

If you are not eating clean, it will be difficult to figure out if you are under fueling or over fueling.

Eat clean FIRST, and usually that will help you tune in to your body’s needs to fuel correctly.

A few major guidelines can help us make steps towards success!

1. Whole, unprocessed foods will deliver the most macronutrients and micronutrients for our system to reach its optimal level.

2. Notice how your body responds after certain foods.

3. Try eliminating gluten for a week, dairy for a week, meat for a week, and focus on how your energy levels change. Sometimes we have food intolerances that we do not even know about!

4. Drink half your weight in ounces of water.

5. Eat out less and cook at home more, where you have complete control of all ingredients and portion sizes.

Eating clean helps your body clean out the processed junk and start fueling on foods that will help you flourish!

Small changes over time WILL add up to make a big difference towards improving your quality of life.

Under Fueled and Under-performing

When our body isn’t supplied with enough proper calories (energy) we experience symptoms of under fueling.

Our body fails to thrive.core exercise - sidewinder

Mood changes like irritability, depression, and the inability to concentrate can affect us in our daily lives outside the gym.

During our workouts, every energy system gets drained.

You feel weak.
You can’t last a whole workout without feeling depleted.
You’re losing weight.
The thought of aerobic capacity seems like a monotonous task.
You’ve lost motivation.

These are all signs that your body is not being properly fueled.

Over Fueled and Overflow

If our body is prospering from clean foods but reaches its caloric (energy) intake capacity, we will start to experience symptoms of over fueling.

Yes, you can get too much of a good thing.

The energy we put into our bodies and the energy we expend are measured in calories.

You feel heavy and sluggish when you walk.
Your strength increases.
Your aerobic capacity has downgraded and you undergo labored breathing.
You gain weight.

A surplus of calories can help the body increase musculature strength, but giving the body more than it can absorb for energy will keep it functioning sub par overall.

A Constant State of Flux

Since we are continuously learning, shifting, developing, and rearranging our lives, our bodies get sent through those same phases.kid stuffing face

Some days might have more movement than others.

Some days may have more rest.

If our lives are full of fluctuations, shouldn’t our diet be the same?

Our bodies will most certainly tell us we should eat more on days with more movement, when we are burning more calories (energy).

On days we rest, we do not need as much food (fuel).

Knowing the difference between hunger, when our body NEEDS fuel, and appetite, when our minds WANTS food, is the key to developing the deeper relationship to our internal world.

Take the time every day to let your thoughts settle, and notice if you have any signs of under fueling or over fueling.

Over time your body will reach a comfortable fuel balance, and you will experience peak performance, enduring energy, and a greater quality of life.

Shane Praises Active Recovery After Crushing His Sixth Ragnar Relay

April 11, 2016 by ptpt Leave a Comment

Shane_Ragnar1The IR Team received this incredible “improved quality of life” story from one of our active recovery clients today!

So pumped on his success!!

I just completed my sixth Southern California Ragnar Relay, and can honestly say it was not an easy one.

I had the most total miles for the team of 12 runners at 25.4 miles and the single longest leg at 12.1 miles.

Overall my recovery between runs and after the race was greatly improved.

All because I started incorporating Innovative Results Active Recovery classes.

In my training and conditioning runs of 4 – 10 miles preparing for the race I had an incredible per minute average pace drop from 9:15 minute mile to 8:15 minute mile.

A full minute faster than my average pace!

All due to Innovative Results Active Recovery Class!

Proving that you can achieve higher level fitness and athleticism with some conscience efforts in active muscle release, focused breathing, meditation techniques, and overall well-being through recovery.

19 Ways to Get Motivated to Exercise

April 6, 2016 by ptpt Leave a Comment

AlexCMaintaining a regular exercise routine can be challenging, even though we KNOW fitness and exercise is great for us!

So how can YOU stay motivated to keep up with your fitness training, or even get started with a new fitness training program when you just ‘don’t feel like it’?

Dumb Little Man’s Claire Jones has 19 Ways to Get Motivated to Exercise just for you!

1. Tell a Friend when you plan to work out and what activity you’ll be doing – an accountability partner is a great asset!
2. Create a Playlist that lifts your mood and gets you moving
3. Put on your sports gear and head out the door immediately
4. Arrange a workout with a friend – again accountability will be a huge asset for your success!
5. Make it FUN – do what you enjoy.
6. Incorporate little bursts of activity into your day – You don’t have to be at the gym for it to count as exercise!
7. Plan how far you want to run, swim or walk, and then halve it.
8. Buy gear that makes you look and feel good.
9. Work out in the morning, whenever you can.
10. Join a Sports Group – meet new people that enjoy the same activities as you!
11. Find an activity that’s on your way home from work.
12. Keep picturing the most sporty version of you.
13. Go for ten minutes only – once you get going, odds are you will continue beyond your 10 minutes!
14. Go to the gym when your favorite TV show is on – now you have no excuse. 🙂
15. Give yourself a reward after you’ve worked out.
16. Remember that action creates motivation.
17. Set up a 30-day Challenge.
18. Don’t focus on the whole workout.
19. Write down the excuses you have for not working out.

For a breakdown of each motivation tip you can read the Full Article on Dumb Little Man HERE

As I sit here typing this, I have a date with a trail that I am supposed to be running.

So remembering that action creates motivation, I will finalize this article, and run on the trail for ten minutes only…which I am sure will turn into more, but right now I am thinking of all the things I need to do today.

My reward will be that satisfying feeling you have when you have accomplished something awesome!

Which is how I feel after every fitness training session at Innovative Results – The Orange County Fitness Playground, so I am sure that this will be no different.

Not focusing on the full workout, just doing ten minutes, using action to create motivation, and feeling that huge sense of achievement when I am done is what will get me motivated to exercise for this particular exercise in my fitness training program.

6 Keys to Improving Your Physical Health

April 3, 2016 by ptpt 1 Comment

By Aubrie Pohl

-A constant lethargic feeling.lethargic
–Achy joints and tired muscles.
-A lack of motivation and desire.
-Sitting down for more hours than standing.
-Feeling like you are capable of so much more.

These are all characteristics of a less-than optimal health.

Our physical state of health can affect every aspect of our life.

Human bodies are incredible.

Do you ever think about how much your body loves you?

Your body is always adapting and accommodating to the situation at hand.
Constantly healing.

Constantly trying to make your life easier for you.

It will get strong if you start strength training.

It will continue to breathe when you don’t even think about breathing!

However, our bodies will only work at their optimal level if we do our part to keep them in the healthiest condition that we can.

There are many ways of improving your physical health, so we can make great steps towards an improved quality of life!

Here are the 6 Keys to Improving Your Physical Health:

1. Movementvictoria anthony collage

We are born to move.

Our bodies love movement.
Without it, our joints ache, our bodies inflame, and we experience pain and weakness.

With every push, pull, reach, stretch, twist, jump, lift, and dance our bodies reciprocate and strengthen, lengthen, expand, open, and grow towards their greatest potential.

Most of our modern day jobs require us to sit for hours at a time, performing robotic motions and allowing our bodies to be stagnant. But they yearn for the freeing sensation of muscles contracting and expanding, of giving and receiving.

Encourage yourself to move on a regular basis, freely and openly, in whatever way feels best.

Even if that means circling your shoulders in line at the grocery store.
Stretching your legs while watching TV.
Twisting your spine as you lay in bed.
Moving your body is always an option.
Feeling better is ALWAYS an option.

2. Nutrient rich, Unprocessed, Living Foods.binderlayingopen_550x634

Your body takes the food you eat and breaks down the food into the macronutrients and micronutrients you need, then reassembles those into your cells to provide you with the energy that allows you to thrive and grow towards your optimal being.

However, your body is only as efficient as the material it has to work with.

The quality of food you send into your body can have a powerful effect on your mental clarity, your ability to perform, and your overall function.

The “Standard American Diet”, also known as SAD…. is sad!

Highly processed foods and a portion distortion leave our bodies critically short of nutrients our bodies crave.
Everybody is different, but we all have an intuitive wisdom that allows the fibers of our being to send us signals of true wellness.
Notice the way your body and energy levels respond after eating certain foods.

So what should you eat?

Eat foods with no labels.
More nutrient dense fruits, vegetables, lean meats.
Less sugary, carbohydrate dense processed foods.
Shop only around the perimeter of the grocery store.
Eat without distractions and notice how foods make you feel.
If you see a food that is not something your great-grandparents ate when they were young, disregard it.
Drink water all day, every day.

After all, a healthy outside starts from the inside.

3. Sunshinesun

A little sunshine every day can boost your mood and serotonin levels, our happy hormone.

If we allow our bodies to absorb a healthy amount of Vitamin D through the sun, we can prevent illnesses that occur from Vitamin D deficiency.

The sun also warms our muscles to reduce inflammation and stiffness.
a small 15 minute walk through the sunshine can do wonders for your body and mind!

Your body will tell you when you’ve had enough sun, turning a shade of pink or feeling warm to the touch.

So go outside for a healthy amount of sun and feel healthier!

4. Sleep

Our hasty, task-filling lifestyle has the ability to distract us from getting enough sleep.
We get caught up in our busy lives, and sacrifice sleep to get more things done.

Our body revitalizes itself during sleep.
Sleep is as vital to sustaining a healthy, energetic life as eating, drinking, and breathing!

Allow your body a restful night and experience yourself feeling attentive, refreshed, and more prepared to challenge your day, so you can live your full potential.

Even a short nap during the day can reinvigorate your system to take on the rest of the day!

Develop an intimate relationship with your body to discover the amount of sleep that you need, and feel your energy increase!

5. Less Chemicals

Living a life with less chemical additives can have a profound effect on your well-being.

Hand soap, shampoos, perfumes, make up, lotions, deodorants, air fresheners, and many other products can potentially contain dangerous chemicals that can disrupt your body’s functions.

As you educate yourself about what products your body is absorbing, you will be able to make conscious decisions on how to lessen the amount of toxins you take in and discover better-for-you options.

6. Positive Actions

Instilling our actions in forward momentum will allow us to continue on a path of self-transformation and success to make our lives more meaningful and satisfying.

By taking the right steps in the right direction, positive actions become intentional activities that manifest more motivation, happiness, and improved life conditions.

Mindfully build good habits, pursue goals, endeavor to live the life you have imagined and you can confidently move in the direction of your highest potential!

In fact, a change of behavior can alter how we think and feel.

Even our poses and demeanor have the potential to change the chemical make-up of our bodies.
Smile and you will feel happier!

Stand tall with your chest out and you will assert confidence!

At any moment, you have the power to construct your decisions and actions towards an improved quality of life.
