It’s easy to make a buck. It’s a lot tougher to make a difference. – Tom Brokaw
What would you change, do or give to improve the quality of someone’s life? What about your own life?
The IR Family recently received this incredible story from one of our very own members. Truly remarkable!
I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am that you had responded so quickly as I was in such dire need of help, more than I understood and more than I had realized.
It is amazing to me that just a little push in the right direction in the way of exercise could change so much in a person’s life.
Our paths had only crossed briefly at the gym so there is no way that you could know the difference that IR has made in my life. You could not have known the person that I was before PTSD, then postpartum depression. Those experiences had taken an athletic and energetic sun-loving soccer freak and confined me to a life quiet chaos. I gave up a life of shooting for NatGeo in rough terrain and dangerous locales and had been content sitting behind a desk to schedule/fuss over production budget/package media kits and watching other people take the helm and process all the amazing images and footage they compiled because I no longer had the physical ability, stamina, and desire to do what I once loved doing. I leave this month on my first assignment in 3 years and because of IR, I do it with a smirk.
Thank you for guys for changing my life. I look forward so much to seeing those sweaty, grunting, laughing faces every week.
Thank you for giving me back my quality of life. Thank you for, most definitely, saving my life.
