Do you want to achieve your goals?
Yes?
Then why don’t you have a plan of action!?!
When you have a plan of action, you are WAY more likely to succeed than if you go in blind.
A great health and fitness plan, laid out by Innovative Results, has three main pillars – Mindset, Movement and Recovery.
Each is important in its own right, BUT at the base of it all is mindset.
Mindset affects everything you do.
If you are in a crappy mood, most likely you will think your day is crappy even if potentially good things happen.
If, however, you decide that today is good, you are way more likely to see everything that happens in a positive light.
That positive attitude translates into positive thoughts and then positive actions.
If you think believe you are strong and tell yourself you are strong, you are going to BE a heck of a lot stronger than you would have been if you told yourself you were weak!
When I was training for my powerlifting competition, I realized just how important a positive mindset is.
The first time I went to max out, I doubted myself. I told myself, “Wow this is super heavy. This is going to be difficult.”
Guess what?
The bar didn’t budge.
However, based on the amount I lifted before, I should have been able to do it. Brian told me to give it another shot.
So I told myself I could do it. I psyched myself up.
And guess what?
THE BAR WENT UP….EASILY.
Yes did I have to be physically strong enough to lift the bar?
YES.
But it only then went up because I had a positive attitude and positive thoughts.
Of course, a positive attitude wasn’t all that was needed to win the powerlifting competition.
I also needed the proper motivation and support.
Everyone does.
